Roofs we repair
Roof repair for every kind of roof in Las Cruces
Flat, tile, shingle, stucco and metal: the five roofs we climb most. Each has its own way of leaking, and its own fix.

Five roofs
How each one leaks, and what we do

Flat and low-slope roofs
Sun and monsoon rain are hard on flat roofs. Seams open, the surface blisters, and water sits where the roof has sagged.
Cracked seams and blisters cut out and patched
Low spots built up so water runs to the drain
Drains, scuppers and pipe boots cleaned and resealed

Clay and concrete tile
The tiles are tough, but the paper beneath them wears out first. A leak often shows up well away from the cracked tile.
Cracked and slipped tiles replaced with matching pieces
Underlayment patched where it has worn through
Ridge caps and skylight flashing resealed

Asphalt shingle
Heat dries shingles out, and the wind lifts them. Nails back out, tabs curl and the roof starts to let water under.
Lifted and missing shingles replaced
Backed-out nails reset and sealed
Valleys and vent flashing resealed

Stucco parapets and scuppers
Where a roof meets a stucco wall, water finds the crack. The cap, the joint and the scupper are where we look first.
Cracked caps and open wall joints sealed
Scuppers re-lined so water leaves the roof, not the wall
Stucco patched around the repair

Metal panels
Screws loosen as metal heats and cools every day. Washers dry out, and the leak starts at a fastener.
Loose screws replaced with new ones and fresh washers
Panel seams and rust spots sealed
Roof-edge and pipe flashing resealed
